Prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in men in the UK. Every year in the UK 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. One man dies every hour of prostate cancer in the UK.
The Prostate Cancer Charity is striving for a world where lives are no longer limited by prostate cancer. The charity is fighting prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning.
I am aiming to raise £5,000 for The Prostate Cancer Charity, so all the support you can give would be much appreciated.

Bikes Arrived!
Bike arrived today. Been to the store to collect it, and managed to cycle all the way home (c. 1.5 miles)! Totally "out of puff", and still wheezing a bit 3 hours later :o). I think I will require a bit more fitness training before the big day.

I've Ordered My Training Bike

This is now really happening. I have been to The Bike Shak in Altrincham owned by my good friend Rinkster, and I have ordered my first road bike made by Trek. It is a Trek 1.1 , and is the most expensive bicycle I have ever bought, although it was the store's cheapest!
My current cycle was purchased 19 years ago, so I felt I was due a new one.
However, now I have ordered the bicycle to train on (I will be provided with a bicycle in India to do the tour) the journey has well and truly begun. My wife, Kay, will be very unhappy with me if I don't go ahead now, as will all my friends I have already discussed this with.
